Chrislo Haas was a German musician and founding member of such bands as Liaisons Dangereuses, DAF and Der Plan. He coined the German electronic music scene of the 1980s largely through his work on the synthesizer Korg MS-20. Chrislo is responsible for creating a whole electronic movement initiating what would later became techno.

Liasons Dangereuses consisted of Chrislo Haas, Beate Bartel and French singer Krishna Goinau. It came up after Chrislo’s rupture with the other two DAF members. It is important to notice that before activating Liaisons Dangereuses, Haas recorded a series of fairly experimental variations of electronic music under the name of CHBB (with Beate Bartel). Nowadays it is still interesting, uncommon and demanded piece of music.
Rather recently appeared a rare recording of Haas performing live with Peter Moser. The concert took place in April 1980 in now-forgotten Düsseldorfer loft. It was likely to be a turning point for Chrislo after he got out of DAF and before he found Liaisons Dangereuses. The record itself represents the first distillation of an archetypal techno.

His last record ever released was an LP on Tresor in 1998. Chrislo Haas died in October 2004 at the age of 47 years in a Berlin apartment as a result of circulatory collapse due to excessive alcohol consumption.
